Brainstormer Pub Quiz ®, the creator and owner of the ‘Quiz Dates!® ’ concept,
along with our business affiliates (collectively, ‘We’), recognize the
importance of protecting Personally Identifiable Information relating to our users and
subscribers. We want you to understand how we collect information from you and how
we use it.
1. STANDARD TERMS OF USE; DISCLAIMER – You acknowledge that you have reviewed our
standard Terms and Conditions relating to the use of this site and the services we
provided. Those terms and conditions are deemed to be incorporated herein.
2. OUR PRIVACY POLICY – Except as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy, at no
time will we sell, trade, rent or use your personal information without your prior written
consent. Our Web site is intended for use by persons of legal drinking age in the U.S.
who are 21 years of age or older. If you are not aged 21 years or older you should not
visit our site.
3. THE INFORMATION WE GATHER – We collect Personally Identifiable Information from
users registered at the Quiz Dates!® site for upcoming events or who register to be notified about
events and other promotions linked with Quiz Dates!® We also collect information from
participants at Quiz Dates!® events and you always have the option not to provide us with
this information. Personally Identifiable Information includes: your full name, gender,
age group, Zip code, phone number, mailing address, e-mail address and billing information
(this includes credit card account information).
Under no circumstances will we sell, trade or otherwise give this information to a
third party. However, we will, from time to time, provide advertisers or potential
advertisers, business affiliates with aggregated, anonymous information about our users.
Each message you receive from us will include information why you are receiving it and
clear instructions on how to unsubscribe from our mailing list and to remove your profile from our site.
Our site uses a secure ordering system for customers to register and pay for Quiz Dates!® events. Information collected by this system include customer name, email address,
telephone number, billing address and credit card information. We use information
collected in this way to register customers for events and to follow up if required to do
so.
We utilize specialized ‘Server Software’ to automatically collect information
about which pages each user visits. This information is used for internal review, and for
traffic audits.
Profile Information: This includes information that you choose to provide including: 1.
your user name; 2. gender; 3. age group; 4. city and zip code where you live; 5. photo of
you (optional), and other information that we may decide to request in the future.
We use this information to: i. announce upcoming Quiz Dates!® events and/or information
about products or events of our affiliates, ii. process credit card and billing for Quiz
Dates!® events; iii. add your name to the guest list of the Quiz Dates!® event that you have
made a reservation for.
If you register for a Quiz Dates!® event (or request to be registered or listed on a
‘waiting list’) your information is also added to our e-mail mailing list. At no
time will other registrants or visitors to our Web site have access to your Personally
Identifiable Information, unless you choose to reveal that information to them. We may
modify this profile information from time to time. Therefore, we would encourage you to
review our Privacy Policy occasionally to become aware of these changes.
4. COOKIES – We use cookies to make your use of our Web site more convenient (auto
log-on, for example). You can modify your cookie settings in your browser if you wish.
5. CONTACTING OTHER QUIZDATERS – Since our events are hosted at bars and restaurants,
you will have the opportunity to meet other Quiz Daters! who have registered for specific
events. At no time will we reveal your personal e-mail address or your identity, unless
you choose to reveal that information to someone or ask us to reveal that information for
you in person, via our site, via email, via telephone call or in writing. All e-mails sent
through the Quiz Dates!® web site will be delivered to the e-mail address that you have
provided to us.
Tell Your Friends: Quiz Daters! are given the opportunity to tell their friends about Quiz
Dates!® by using the ‘Tell a Friend’ link at our Web site. We will use this
information to send a one-time e-mail to these friends with information on Quiz Dates!® We
will not send these friends any follow-up emails, unless they register for our service, and will not maintain their information
in our database, unless they register with Quiz Dates!®
6. LINKS – Our site provides links to sites outside the Quiz Dates!® Network. These
sites may have different privacy policies and may use anonymous information about your
visits to our site and other Web sites. This information can include: their cookie, the IP address. Quiz Dates!® policy does not extend to anything that is inherent in the operation of the Internet, and
therefore beyond the control of Quiz Dates!® .
7. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION – Quiz Dates!® may disclose personal information if we are
required to do so by law or we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to (i)
comply with the law or with legal process; (ii) protect and defend our rights and
property; (iii.) protect against misuse or unauthorized use of Quiz Dates!® in commerce or
on the Internet; or (iv.) protect the personal safety or property of our users or the
public.
In the event that Quiz Dates!® is acquired by a third party business, information on all of
the registrants in our database will be one of the assets transferred to that business.
8. CONTACTING US – If you have any questions about our privacy policy, or any of your
other privacy rights concerning Quiz Dates!® events you can contact us using the
‘Contact Us’ option at the Quiz Dates!® web site.
9. NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES – If we decide to change or amend our Privacy Policy, we
will post those changes here so that you will always know what information we gather, how
we might use that information, and whether we will disclose it. Or, we may send an email
to all subscribers to advise of the change(s).
